Our History
Prism Maritime was founded in 2006 by a group of technicians and engineers to provide expertise in new technology integration to our military clients. Because of our freedom from shareholder influence, Prism ownership has been able to focus on providing the war fighter reliable systems installation, testing, training, and support.
Since inception we've enjoyed phenomenal growth and expanded our capabilities to also include engineering, logistics, and program management. The entrepreneurial spirit that fueled Prism's birth and growth has helped to create a culture of TEAM and winning.

Founded
Prism Maritime was established by a group of technicians and engineers with a mission to provide superior engineering and fabrication services to the U.S. Navy and defense contractors.
NAVSEA Approval
Achieved NAVSEA approval for our Quality Management System on Dec. 5, 2007, establishing us as a trusted partner for critical naval operations and ship modernization projects.
ISO Certification
On December 31, 2018, Prism Maritime earned ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification through ABS-QE (Certificate No. 57491). The certification applies to our facilities in San Diego, CA; Ventura, CA; Chesapeake, VA (Warehouse); and Chesapeake, VA (Corporate Headquarters), reflecting our commitment to quality management and continuous improvement across operations.
OFCCP Accredited
Received Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to equal employment opportunity and compliance with federal contractor regulations.
Fabrication & Welding Expansion
Expanded business footprint with new Fabrication & Welding Facilities located in Greenbrier – Chesapeake, VA within 3 miles of Norfolk Naval Shipyard, providing more capable and responsive service to the US Navy.

Prism Cyber Launch
Launched Prism Cyber division to address the growing cybersecurity and AI/ML needs of federal defense clients, expanding our comprehensive service offerings.
Warehouse Expansion & Consolidation
In March 2025, we expanded once again, relocating our warehouse to 2200 Steppingstone Square and consolidating both 2306 locations. Our growth began in 2021 with two 12,000-square-foot buildings, totaling 25,000 square feet. By March 2025, we had added a new 22,000-square-foot warehouse to support increased operations.
Second Cogswell Award & Continued Growth
Received our second Admiral Cogswell Award for Excellence, recognizing exceptional cybersecurity and information security excellence in support of U.S. government and defense operations. Today, Prism Maritime operates from three strategic locations and maintains over $2B in contract ceilings.
